The Hunger to Health Collaboratory is a cross-sector partnership that builds upon diverse knowledge and experiences across food and health systems in collaboration with leaders from food industry, business, and academia to work towards food security for all. This venture currently has the mission to reduce the health consequences of hunger through collaboration, advocacy, and education. Given the past year with the lens of the pandemic, the partners are reviewing the need to pivot the mission towards food security as a matter of public health including issue of health equity. Currently structured, the Greater Boston Food Bank serves as the founder and “back bone” organization to administer the work of H2HC. The lead funder is founding member, Stop & Shop Corporation. These funds are made available through their foundation, the “Our Family Foundation.”
Reporting to the President and CEO of The Greater Boston Food Bank, the Executive Director will work with the H2HC governing members, advisory members, consultants, and the H2HC Manager to advance and guide the vision and mission of the Hunger to Health Collaboratory. In this role, the Executive Director will lead the strategy, fundraising, activities, and outcomes of H2HC.
